La Double Inconstance
Marivaux brilliantly directed by Jean-Paul Tribout.

The passionate and tormented life of the sculptor Camille Claudel.
A romantic tragedy retracing the history of the two greatest monsters of French sculpture.
At a time when men were calling all the shots, the magnificent and cheeky Camille Claudel arrived in Paris in 1880, determined to become the sculptor of the century. Quickly spotted by Auguste Rodin, he opened the doors of his studio to her.
This encounter gave rise to the most destructive and fused relationship in the history of the arts... and one that would take the young artist all the way to the Gates of Hell.

What a wonderful show, performed by an actress and three actors who are just right, generous and passionate! It's a very promising creation that deserves to be performed as much as possible in the years to come. A big well done to these artists and especially to Corentin Masson, the writer, director and actor behind this wonderful project!
What an evening!
Everything on stage transports us into the intimacy of a 19th-century studio. A large stove diffuses its flickering heat through the glass roof, sheets, sellettes and period furniture glide by between two sculpture sessions, and the light, in a Caravaggesque atmosphere, guides our gaze from garden to courtyard, from Rodin's studio to Camille's modest flat. Superb writing, meticulous direction, magnificent costumes and an extraordinary performance by the actors. We laugh, let ourselves be carried away by the tenderness of Paul Claudel and André, and watch helplessly as Camille and Auguste suffer, fall apart and fall in love. There's an impressive silence in the auditorium, throats are tightening, eyes are reddening, we're gradually sliding towards the gates of hell... 1h30 of pure joy, the auditorium applauds wildly, I'm breathless.

A wonderful piece of theatre, faithfully portraying the relationship between Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel from all angles.
The sets and costumes are superb, but above all the acting is superb, with some actors playing several roles. It's fluid, it's rhythmic, it's exciting and passionate!
Don't delay, because there are only two dates left in March in the fabulous setting of the Théâtre du Ranelagh! Bravo for this enchanting programme!
