George the Dragon

Based on a series of children's books published by L'École des Loisirs.

About

In the kingdom of Boum-Boum Tralala reigns Princess Marie, assisted by Georges, her faithful dragon. Marie is also a schoolteacher, and it's in her classroom that our story begins: Georges is quietly lighting the wood-burning stove when suddenly a valiant knight called Jules jumps out at him, pelting him with blows, and stops dead in his tracks when he spots Marie. The whole world can stop spinning: he's in love!

Les Nomadesques' new creation for young audiences, following on from the successes of Cinderella, Le Chat Botté and The Wolf is back!
Based on the series of 6 best-selling books - 300,000 copies sold - published by L'École des Loisirs, and created by Geoffroy de Pennart, the author of Wolf is back!

Reviews

We came with our children aged 6 and 9, adults and children alike, and we all loved it. The icing on the cake was the chance to have a photo with the princess and a dedication from the prince with the book. Well done, keep up the good work!

Press coverage

BFM TV «Run to see it»

THE PROVENCE «A frantic pace!»

GOING OUT IN PARIS «A great piece of theatre»

ART CULTURE EVASION «A great success»

COUP DE THEATRE ♥♥♥ «In addition to the very funny plot, the well-cast characters (...) are a delight for young audiences. The scenes unfold without a break to the rhythm of Joe Dassin's most beautiful songs, which will have parents or grandparents humming along!»

PUBLIK'ART «An hour of thrilling adventures with graphic and colourful monster costumes, songs by Joe Dassin and an audience invited to join in the adventures. The younger members of the audience are quick to give the knight directions and answer his questions aloud. The atmosphere is electric, the atmosphere is friendly and the fun is total. Older children are delighted by the perpetual self-mockery that accompanies all the dialogue and repartee, with no one taking themselves too seriously without becoming ridiculous. It's a great lesson in life in this day and age, when many people are a little too ready to condemn everything they see or read. Light-heartedness is a very good thing, and the play is full of it for a great moment of humour shared with the whole family!»

CRITICAL STATE «Between puns and wordplay, to the rhythm of Joe Dassin's music, we laugh and have fun. The company always manages to portray quirky characters with whom we can identify. The world of Geoffroy de Pennart, the favourite children's author of young readers and their parents, suits them perfectly. The four actors draw the line at our humanity in their brilliant costumes.»
