A clever acronym for MOLIERE, this show, full of tricks, takes us through the life and work of the man who was undoubtedly the most joyful, the most spirited, the cleverest, the craziest and the strongest of all stage performers.
It shows how Jean-Baptiste Poquelin turned down his destiny as an upholsterer to become an actor, how he failed to convince anyone as a tragedian, how he went on tour throughout France, how he returned to Paris to find success, and how this success was also a scandal; We meet his father, the great tragedian Montfleury, his first patron the Prince de Conti (and his horse), Louis XIV, Lully, a devotee of the company of the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, the young Jean Racine, his troupe mates, journalists, courtiers, doctors...
And to retrace Jean-Baptiste's journey in a very subjective (albeit educated) way, these figures draw on the words of Molière's characters.
