To the glory of Pagnol!

Clumsy, a little naive, very determined and madly in love with Jane Morse, sailor Martin EDEN grows up in the slums of Oakland. He announces his intention to become a writer in order to take his revenge on life and prove himself worthy of Jane.
His determination to achieve this dream reveals him to himself and to others. Like the life of Jack London, we follow Martin's journey, driven by his love of literature and enriched by his travels.
“You're not interested in my work. It's my fame. To become somebody is to be nobody.” Based on Jack LONDON

An outstanding performance from this young talent, who keeps us on the edge of our seats from start to finish.
Jack London's text, adapted for the stage, delves into the relationship between writing, fame and the knowledge of role models (Baudelaire, Balzac, Rostand = all my idols, but that's very personal).
In short, bravo to this actor for embodying all the protagonists so aptly, and for taking us on board (no pun intended) in his galleys and storms through the prism of the Albatross, symbol of independence, tenacity and dependence... on love. But which love?
And the ending? Go on, then. You'll know
Enzo Beaugheon, alone on stage, played his various characters with brio.
I was totally transported into her world, her story, her will, her emotion, her passion and her disillusionment.
I'd like to add that it's a very fine adaptation of the novel.
I had an excellent evening!
Thank you ❣️
Enzo Beaugheon captures our attention from start to finish with a powerful, engaging performance.
Both the actor and the staging brilliantly highlight this deep-sounding text and invite you to read or reread Jack London's timeless work. Bravo and thank you for this show!

To the glory of Pagnol!

Oscar Wilde's only novel finally brought to the stage.

Laughter and nostalgia with Laurel and Hardy in film-concert.
