Martin EDEN, the pitfall of a dream

A one-man show based on the novel by Jack LONDON

About

Clumsy, a little naive, very determined and madly in love with Jane Morse, sailor Martin EDEN grows up in the slums of Oakland. He announces his intention to become a writer in order to take his revenge on life and prove himself worthy of Jane.

His determination to achieve this dream reveals him to himself and to others. Like the life of Jack London, we follow Martin's journey, driven by his love of literature and enriched by his travels.

“You're not interested in my work. It's my fame. To become somebody is to be nobody.” Based on Jack LONDON

There was the book, there was the film, and now there is this one-man show. A stunning performance by a promising young actor, Enzo Beaugheon, with energy, tenderness and poetry, in a beautiful adaptation and direction by Virginie Poisson. Well done
