The delicate case of Goldilocks

Based on the story of the Three Bears and Goldilocks

About

The story of the Three Bears has resonated in our imaginations for a very long time. But who is Goldilocks? A destructive child who takes over the house and possessions of a defenceless family, or a lost little girl clumsily trying to find her place? And for starters... does she really have gold-coloured curls?

In a trial at a child's level, where the theatre becomes a courtroom, the actress-interpreter brings to life judge, witness, victims, prosecutor and lawyer... a whole little world gathered around one question: what is OUR truth about history?

A nugget. Great art. Don't miss it! Particularly delectable for grown-ups (teenagers, adults) but delightful for younger children too. The same story told from two different angles. Fascinating when it comes to the power of manipulation.

A dynamic production in which young and old alike play their part in shaping the outcome. A fine performance by the actors.

The show is brilliantly executed from the moment we enter the theatre until the end of the session. We experience a court hearing from the inside, using appropriate language that is accessible to both children and adults. I highly recommend this show. My little girls, aged 6 and 9, loved it and are still talking about it.
