Our CSR commitments

Eco-responsible Ranelagh is a series of concrete actions:

  • recycling - selective sorting We recycle the following waste: glass, cardboard/plastic, bio-waste (compost) and general waste, i.e. 4 bins! In addition, with the solution offered by Conibi, we recycle the ink and toner cartridges in our printers.

  • electricity Energy efficiency: a controlled resource with the switch to LED lighting for the entire stage area in September 2024 and the use of rechargeable batteries since 2018. Not forgetting the recycling of our bulbs and batteries in specially adapted bins.
  • heating  We have steam heating for the whole building, thanks to district heating.
  • air reprocessing  Since September 2024, the hall has benefited from air recycling and cooling via a central air treatment unit: purer, fresher and of better quality, and using less energy than a conventional air conditioning system.
  • the foyer bar We sell French products (wines from Bordeaux, the Loire or Châteauneuf du Pape) and even Parisian products, which haven't travelled around the world 3 times to get to Ranelagh. We even use returnable glass bottles for our water (still or sparkling), beer, soft drinks and lemonades.

  • soft mobility The 14 members of our permanent team use bicycles and public transport.

  • plastic Plastic water bottles are a thing of the past, with water bottles in the dressing room and on trays for the teams.

  • paper From September 2021 onwards, hostesses will no longer be handing out programmes to spectators when they take their seats. Only the season programme, posters and flyers for each show will be printed on 70% PEFC-certified recycled paper in controlled runs, so there will be no waste.

  • the ticket office Your show tickets can be presented directly on your phone, so you don't have to print them out!

We are part of the working group that created and then implemented the ecological charter for French theatres via the Association pour le Soutien du Théâtre Privé (ASTP), which means we are part of an even broader CSR commitment for our show productions (sets, costumes, scenography).
