Misunderstandings and laughter in Russia!

Pascal Amoyel, an internationally renowned pianist and Victoire de la Musique award winner, has received a Grand Prix du Disque from the Chopin Society in Warsaw for his complete recording of Chopin’s Nocturnes.
Chopin wrote a piano method that has largely been forgotten over time, even among pianists. Using Chopin’s own writings and insights, Pascal Amoyel recreates a masterclass experience as Chopin might have given to his students.

LA VIE “Pascal Amoyel est un conteur passionné, une pédagogue fervent, un pianiste brillant.” N°4138-39 / A-L Filhol
LA CROIX “An imaginary, virtuoso tête-à-tête that shows how the most perfect technique is nothing without interpretation. (…) Fascinating and sensitive!” Dated 23 December
LE MONDE “Under his fingers, Chopin’s First Ballade seems to stem from the child’s delight in the enchantment of sound and the adult’s struggle against his inner demons. Like Christian Fromont’s delicately staged performance, this tormented page seduces like a fantasy, blending fantasy and the fantastic.” Pierre Gervasoni Dated 24 December
LE POINT “Let’s hear it for this exciting concert-show that literally takes you away!” Baudouin Eschapasse, Dated 23 December
FRANCE INFO “A little treasure!”
