Rameau's Nephew
Diderot's light is illuminating, and we'll all come away smiling!

Everyone knows the picture, but no one knows the story...
Many people are familiar with Théodore Géricault's masterpiece The raft of the Medusa, But how many people are aware of the succession of tragic events that led to this terrible shipwreck?
How many of them have been able to shed light on the painter's work?
Pierre-Laurent Coste is one of them, and with good reason, as he is one of the survivors. And he has a lot to reveal...

TÉLÉRAMA «Geoffrey Callènes» fine direction and intense performance.»
LE PARISIEN «A tour de force, a voyage at sea, a shipwreck (...) In the face of such a well-painted, vibrant picture of horror, you are left breathless (...) a hell of a lot of talent. Sylvain Merle
OUEST FRANCE «The performance by Geoffrey Callènes, who brings to life the moments he has helped to put into words, is gripping. The one-man show was a real challenge, and the actor's vivacity wins you over.»
SUD OUEST «A stunning one-man show in which the artist inhabits several roles, giving body and soul to the terrible drama of Géricault's famous painting. (...) Geoffrey Callènes gives his all, honouring the battered souls of La Méduse with his excellence. The standing ovation from the Louhossoa audience salutes this high-flying artist. Mathilde Bauthier
FROGGY'S DELIGHT «Remarkably written and just as remarkably acted and directed, this evocation is a total immersion for the spectator in the turbulent waters of an ocean where sharks lie in wait for their prey.»
SINGULARS «magnificently carried by the voice and body of Geoffrey Callènes».»
REG'ARTS «Geoffrey Callènes is hypnotic and hallucinating».»
