We went to see this show last night after reading some press articles.

We were dazzled by the performance of Geoffrey Callenes (whom we didn't know yet).

A one-man show who, with his talent and mastery, brought to life this adventure that everyone has heard about. .

The audience held their breath throughout the performance, then after a moment's silence, thunderous applause - richly deserved.

Well done to this actor and to this theatre, which allowed us to hear and experience this story «as if we were there». .

Above all, I'd like to salute the extraordinary quality of this show.....absolutely and definitively brilliant! The actor is transcendent, inhabited by the characters, all different, which he interprets with brio, strength and power! We are with him on the ship, experiencing the condition of the sailors, the harshness of the job, the violence, the power struggles and the fight for dignity, then we survive with the survivors of the shipwreck on the raft and tremble in horror in the storm and the abandonment of what remains of their humanity....It's overwhelmingly accurate... The actor is more than just a performance, he lives and draws us into his epic breath of stellar proportions! Go and see what is not just a show but a journey through the general and particular history of this drama! Frankly, you'll come away knocked out, needing time to return to our century and leave behind us so many emotions....My neighbour had a face full of tears! There's no point in hesitating, you've got to go! A standing ovation.... while thanking this actor for what he offers us during 1h30....

It's true, when you see Géricault's painting, it's hard to believe that these few survivors were sailing on a frigate whose name was, of course, «La Méduse». The conditions in which it sank are reminiscent of those on the Titanic: over-inflated egos, incompetence, stupidity... This is a harrowing adventure! And the text and its co-author and servant - the brilliant, ebullient Geoffrey Callènes - take us through this succession of events and human dramas with mastery! What a journey!
